There’s a better way to make disrepair claims
What is car finance mis-selling?
A recent investigation by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) into finance agreements found evidence of mis-selling of all types of UK car finance agreements.
The FCA has estimated that 95% of car finance deals had a commission model, and 40% included 'discretionary commission arrangements'. If you were not adequately informed about the costs and commissions involved in your PCP or HP agreement, then you could be one of the many that are due compensation and refunds when the FCA completes its investigation.
According to the FCA’s own analysis, buyers paid around £1,100 more interest on a typical £10,000 four-year agreement, when there was a discretionary commission arrangement.
However, the amount of money you may be due back could vary, and could be significantly higher, depending on the size of the loan, the length of the agreement and the interest rate that was offered.
